Beer Floats! Beer Floats! Beer Floats!

Beer + Ice Cream = Love.

Our July 21 Harvest Happy Hour combines the best of two worlds as we present our second installment of Beer Floats. We'll be pouring five different floats featuring Ayars Family Farm Ice Cream (new, from Mechanicsburg, Ohio) and a variety of stouts, lambics and unique beers selected by Constance to go especially well with the frozen treat. The floats are $1.75 each or you can try a flight (5) for $7.50.

As with all Harvest Happy Hours, we'll feature wine and beer special (sans ice cream), and will serve food samples (featuring Wayward Seed Farm produce).

Delightful Amy D.

Made with vintage and reclaimed fabrics, Amy D's aprons are each one-of-a-kind. And, well, Amy is pretty amazing, herself. We're thrilled to be carrying a wide variety of her aprons (garnished with Ohio-shaped pockets or beer holders) as part of our gift line. Pick one up for yourself and a friend; these aprons are certain to cause a smile or two!

A Victory for Spain, a Victory for Us!

The Spain victory over Germany today left Norman in such a state that he was willing to relinquish his coveted ali-oli (Catalan for "aioli") recipe to the masses. A perfect condiment for summer squash (or zucchini), this sauce truly makes today's recipe a winner. Click through to learn to make the above napoleon. And even though the recipe is long, we promise that it's super-easy and muy bueno.

A Treat from Mechanicsburg, Ohio.

David found a gem when he discovered Ayars Family Farm's new all-natural ice cream from Mechanicsburg, Ohio. Produced in small batches with milk from Guernsey Cows, this rich and flavorful ice cream comes in several different flavors, including Peanut Butter Caramel, Spanish Peanut, Strawberry and Snickerdoodle. Try some today!

We've Got the Beet (Recipes).

Looking for recipes that will work with your seasonal produce finds? We want to help. Every Wednesday this summer (from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.) we host a Harvest Happy Hour on our Veranda. We serve up samples of dishes we've created featuring the week's freshest produce and hand out recipes to complement. For those who want to stick around a relax for awhile, we offer wine and beer specials, as well.

If you can't make it, but are still stuck with what to do with all of those late-June beets, click over to our recipes section on the site. We publish recipes each week, and a quick search may help you turn your root veggies into something delicious for dinner.

Fresh from Fredericktown, Ohio.

Did you know that we've got a sister store in Fredericktown, Ohio? It was through this sister store that we discovered Asetta Bread Co. Their regionally-famous pepperoni balls are the newest item to hit our shelves. Look for them in our bakery.

Straight from Great Britain.

Something new found its way to our store a couple of weeks ago: Belvoir Fruit Farms organic soft drinks. We're kind of in love with their Ginger Beer. Stop in and pick one up. Be careful, though. You may just swoon.
